Study via Face-to-Face Classroom Based Training To complete your CHC30113 - Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care with Greenhouse Education you will have to complete both the classroom and practical placement components that are required. The classroom aspect of the course is delivered face-to-face in a our purpose built, childcare specific classroom environment, 2 days per week, for 32 weeks, along with additional hours per week of self-study. To successfully complete your CHC30113 - Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care, you will also need to complete workplace-based experience within a registered Early Learning Childcare Centre, for a minimum of 120 hours. This work placement is designed to put into practice the knowledge and skills you have learnt from your classroom based training.

Course Details

  • Classes are generally held twice weekly with a few exceptions where teaching days land on Public Holidays.
  • Workplace support, assessment and coaching will be conducted regularly by your Trainer.
  • A minimum of 120-hours of Practical Experience, achieved through Work Placement, is required.
Greenhouse Education will arrange a suitable Work Placement for you.

Delivery Schedule

This course consists of 18 units. Delivery Schedules will be based on your enrolment date, you will receive a training plan which outlines your delivery schedule.

Fees and Payment

The current fees for this course are based on the West Australian Department of Training and Workforce Development’s current VET Fees and Charges Policy. To view the VET Fees and Charges policy, visit the Department of Training and Workforce Development website at http://www.dtwd.wa.gov.au The total cost of this course via our face-to-face classroom based delivery method is: Non-Concession Fee (25 years +) $1.62 per nominal hour commenced in a calendar year, capped at $1200 per year. Non-Concession Fee Youth (17 - 24 years) $1.62 per nominal hour commenced in a calendar year, capped at $400 per year. Concession Fee $369.60 $0.48 per nominal hour commenced in a calendar year. *Concession Rate: applies when proof of eligibilty is provided on application. Fee waivers For students experiencing severe financial hardship, fee waivers are available and will be assessed on an individual basis. Supporting documentary evidence will need to be provided to support the applicant's financial circumstances. We take great care in our Enrolment Process as we want to make sure that Childcare is a good fit for you. Therefore, after your initial Enrolment Enquiry, we ask you to come in and meet with one of our Trainers for an Enrolment Interview.


At your enrolment interview you will be asked to:

  • Complete your Enrolment Application Form

  • Sit a short Entry Assessment and Suitability discussion 

  • Discuss your fee options

  • Receive your formal acceptance to Greenhouse and your Student Information Guide
