CHC30113 - Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care

This course forms the building block for your Childcare career and is compulsory for anyone working within the Early Learning and Childcare industry.

Study via Face-to-Face Classroom Based Training (Temporary Virtual Classroom in operation due to Covid-19) To complete your CHC30113 - Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care with Greenhouse Education you will have to complete both the classroom and practical placement components that are required. The classroom aspect of the course is delivered face-to-face in a our purpose built, childcare specific classroom environment, 2 days per week, for 32 weeks, along with additional hours per week of self-study. To successfully complete your CHC30113 - Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care, you will also need to complete workplace-based experience within a registered Early Learning Childcare Centre, for a minimum of 120 hours. This work placement is designed to put into practice the knowledge and skills you have learnt from your classroom based training.

Course Details

  • Classes are generally held twice weekly with a few exceptions where teaching days land on Public Holidays.
  • Workplace support, assessment and coaching will be conducted regularly by your Trainer.
  • A minimum of 120-hours of Practical Experience, achieved through Work Placement, is required.
Greenhouse Education will arrange a suitable Work Placement for you.

Delivery Schedule

This course consists of 18 units, grouped into six unit 'Clusters'. Clusters are grouped around common skill and knowledge areas, making it easy to correlate learning across units and get a feel for the bigger picture. Delivery Schedules will be based on your enrolment date, you will receive a training plan which outlines your delivery schedule.

The current fees for this course are based on the West Australian Department of Training and Workforce Development’s current VET Fees and Charges Policy. At your enrolment interview you will be asked to:

  • Receive your formal acceptance to Greenhouse and your Student Information Guide
